We're going to need a little more info than that, but it sounds like you need to host the image first.
www.imgur.com has free hosting, and once you upload it there will be a link you cna copy & paste to share the photo on the other forums. |
if you email it to me, I will host it on my photobucket account or you can just post it here and I'll copy it over to my PB account. PM for email info if you're interested.

Google image search is your friend.

Assuming it's a digital pic, why not just upload it using tinypic.com, free and fast, no account needed. Save the link for posting elsewhere. If it's not digital you'll have to scan it first. I'm sure there must be lamp/lighting forums. Somewhere there is a heated discussion going on with feelings getting hurt over three way bulbs, push vs. twist switches and stuff.

OMG, don't start a CFL vs LED bulb thread!!!

I'm still waiting for a picture of the lamp. |

CFLs burn out fast (or at least the ballast), plus you still have glass & mercury to worry about. My $13 Cree bulb from the hardware store looks like an incandescent and just nibbles power. |

Currently our Home Cheapo has Cree LED lamps for $4.97 Extremely reasonable price, compared to what they had been. Very well made bulb, assembled in the US. Claims 40 watt equivalency, but seems much brighter. Actually consumes around 5 watts. It is nice to see the prices dropping, and that they are being made (or assembled at least) here in the US. My first couple dozen LED bulbs came straight from China, and they are not nearly of the same build quality, although they were still cheaper by a small margin. All done buying those, except for the outside floods and candelabra lights... those are still stupid expensive here in the states. I do like the reflector floods... 20 watts instead of 150, with every bit as much light. Still waiting for the picture of the lamp... I'm rearin' to search....:D |

One hack way to make the image smaller is to email it to yourself, and let your email client shrink it for you, then upload the copy.... Have you tried just putting it in the text of the post? I think they allow larger images that way. (if one goes by some of the rather large pictures posted by Jim B.....;)) |
Read above post. Can't upload photo and running out of options.
