I've tried over at the chrysler forum. but I cant make headway there. so I thought i'd post here

I don't know what to what to check. I have good spark too.
I've also had Cleaned the Throttle position sensor, made sure the EGR was operational etc... no Idea. any suggestions would be helpful. I'm flummoxed. when its cold, works pretty good. but, when the engine heats up all sorts of hell. shakes vibrates. I diddnt think I'd make it home.

Sounds like a lean condition. Vac leak?

At cold idle it's in open loop, dumping "extra" fuel.

I'd guess vacuum leak too. If this is the 3800 V6 it's the intake gaskets-you need the metal ones.

Otherwise check the fuel pressure, and try running it without the O2 sensor.

i'm still trying to find a Logic probe/Noid light. but I will pull the intake off to do the spark plugs. I think I might go around with a propane bottle or something to check for leaks or is it smarter to use carb cleaner?

I use an LED in place of a noid light - works a treat - cheap too. Same LED also tested the side view mirror indicators on my W210.
