I have not given this much thought. Obama is going to do all he can to move his agenda forward and the Republicans have already said that no matter what he comes up with they will oppose it. No matter what, the Republicans have said Obama will hit their brick wall.
So I expect Obama to do all he can without their help. If they want to oppose him for issuing executive orders then it is the same as them opposing him for anything else he does. The Constitution provides a way for the president to do some things when Congress will not go along, so, given that the Republicans have already said they are going to do all they can to oppose anything and everything why would he not use any power he has to do the same to them? |
