Detroit news fetish is strong lately.

Actually a lot of people wonder naturally about developments there. It is understandable in an abstract way what occurred there.

What is less understandable to see and hear about is how the city in general has responded to this now tragic situation. There are lessons to be learned by other cities from what has occurred there. What one wonders is if some are smart enough to learn them in time.

The city went financially bankrupt in recent times. When it went morally and ethically bankrupt is and was a more serious thing. Existing laws were broken left and right. Ethics and common sense where nowhere to be seen.

The price of it is the Detroit of today. Man and systems have developed to the point he can easily outsmart himself with greed as an incentive to do so. If you do not have the true smarts this is a very common well beaten path today.

I thought this was going to be all about powder COCAINE!

I'm about 550 kms NE of Detroit and get the US channel cable feed from there, so I get a 5-6 hour advanced warning that another snow storm is headed this way.
This winter is the worst I've seen since moving here 10 years ago.
