why is he a putz? if thats the case, maybe you should look in the mirror? your signature shows you on the opposite end of it.


i think the whole issue is, if someone were to "bash christians" on a&e, it would more than likely be ignored, but how DARE anyone say anything against gays!

I don't see why the privately-owned A&E network should be punished for removing a character with whom it disagrees.

He was a putz by saying something that in all likelihood he agreed not to.

I not not under contract to anyone and I know enough not to speak ill of my employer or to represent them ion a bad light if I wish to remain employed because that was out outlined very clearly when I was hired.

Don't like it don't watch. Christians have had free reign for quite some time judging others. Tides change. I do not remember the exact saying but it goes something to the effect of 'be careful of the fingers on the way up the ladder for they are attached to the asses you'll be kissing on the way down.' Perhaps Christians should have been more tolerant in the past. May be reactions to them might have been different.

I fail to see how they can control what he says off of the show. As far as representing them in a bad way, was the a&e logo in the background while he spoke? Seems to me he was on his own time.

I have a feeling before it is over, a&e will let it go. So far, everything I have seen, has been against a&e giving him the boot.

Don't get me wrong, I'm perfectly fine with gay marriage, but this is a violation of the 1st.

His list is homosexuals, drunks, and terrorists. He's not putting homosexuals on level with terrorists unless he is putting drunks on the level with terrorists. If he isn't allowed to discuss his religion's feelings on gay marriage without getting shut down, then how can any actor or actress come out in favor of homosexuality without breaking the same contract? The only way I could see this is if the contract specifically states that he may never say anything against homosexuality, at which point it becomes pathetic.

Oh, and if Duck Dynasty portrays a traditional Christian family, then I'm quite bewildered that what he said does not represent the show.

Companies can write a contract anyway they see fit so long as it does not violate your civil rights. If A&E said you cannot make negative comments about any groups and he chose to do so ... OH well. Buh Bye.

If that's the case, then I would say the.writing is on the wall. I would bet a&e changes their stance once they see the damage. Phil robertson probably couldn't care less about getting the boot.

Its the fans of the show and the network that will "suffer"
