Pity she missed. Still good for her. Must have taken a lot of presence of mind to react in time. Some nice free advertising for Hi-Point too. Especially considering the state of the weapon with all the rust on the receiver. Still went bang when it was needed.

Anyone want to move to Detroit anytime soon? I mean, ok, Roy is there, so there is some degree of inducement, but the negatives seem to outstrip the positives...

The guy that re entered probably had intent to shoot her then. Since she had already fired once the first time they were in. He should see a much more serious charge than the others but may not. I would like to see him charged with attempted murder.

In a way it is sad she did not kill him. His type will always try again somewhere else and might prevail then.

The serious line was crossed by all, to varying extents. All fry. Beating in the door to someones home (with kids inside) while armed? Way across the line.

I posted this:

I have seen cases where when the system does not act properly. The criminal is dealt with in other ways sometimes. The police seem to know this occurs but turn a blind eye in the few cases that I personally know of.

I suspect the police also feel the court system would not do it's job. I dare not mention too much detail. I was approached once and asked if it mattered to me what happened to a certain individual. Because of his victimization of so many people over the years I said I did not. He experienced what was officially an accidental death a few days later. Must have been a coincidence.

The party that approached me was just a delegate I knew. Not the person with the mission so to speak. I really do not want to have any knowledge of who he is or where he lives.

A lawsuit on the criminals part for what he was engaged in is way over the top and presents a serious distortion. Crime naturally has inherent risks. Where did the ideal come from that they can be legally protected from those risks. This is more along the line that seems more prevalent today that the victoms of crime are the ones that have no rights.

There have been some, none successful recently as I recall.
The attitude of the current Police Chief and mayor have made aggressively CRUSHING criminal activity and REBUILDING Detroit priority#1, 2, 3.

The majority of (Wise) citizens are working with them, idiots and criminals are resisting and actively damaging the resurrection of Detroit.

Value:

* Tax paying resident = HIGH.
* Tax paying business = HIGH.
* Tax paying tourist = HIGH.
* Tax paying transient = HIGH.
* Criminal = extreme negative factor.

I can attest they are having a HARSH IMPACT on criminals, because the scum are selecting more targets in surrounding county's for three months thus far.

All I can do is HOPE the current Police Chief and mayor WIN this war.
