from the article posted:

"The incident began on the evening of Feb. 13, 2013, when Meister arranged to get some things his ex-roommate was holding for him on his back porch. Someone saw Meister hauling items, thought it looked suspicious, and called police."

This shouldn't surprise anyone. In many of these instances, it is always a busy body who doesn't know a da** thing about the situation who thinks the absolute worse and then calls the po-po.

The cops are trained to only handle "normal" situations, any situation even slightly abnormal and they default to tazer mode. They rarely, if ever, fully investigate a situation before making the decision to go into tazer mode. Shoot first, ask questions later type mentality.

Real nice, handcuffed when sign language is your only means of communicating. Here is a market for a universal bracelet or pendant for those with that challenge. Just sad that they would need one.

I went to a school with a high percentage of deaf or hard of hearing students. Things got interesting when people got so drunk that they couldn't sign, read signs, etc.
