So...as I gleefully proceed through my mid-life crisis...

...I'm thinking about dumping my Honda Pilot for a new Dodge Charger R/T with AWD. 370HP Hemi and all the retro/blue-collar styling cues a guy in old fart denial could possibly want. Should I go for the blacked-out version with black roof, hood detail and wheels, or should I pretend that I have some remnant of good taste and just get one with charcoal gray paint and the more boring gray alloy rims? I'm 50/50 on the rear spoiler if that's any help...

Why not just buy a W210 or W220? Thats where most of the parts for the RWD Chryslers came from.

Seems like one of these might be best bought used, like a boat.,...after the previous owner gets tired of buying gas and tires.

The California Highway Patrol bought some, as the last Crown Victoria Police Interceptors were built for the 2011 model year, and it was time to retire them as the miles rolled up. But the LEO's HATE them.

They have been universally acclaimed as junk, unreliable and cramped. Consumer Reports gave them a bad rating also. Chrysler has still not "consolidated its feces" yet as far as quality control, reliability and build concern, compared to it U.S. rivals, GM and Ford.

However, people do buy them, to some they look sexy, and with the right motor, they are fast as hell!.

"That thing gotta Hemi?"

If you really want one, I'd think you should lease one.

That way you could dump it if it's a pile, in a few years, or buy it at the end of the lease if you enjoyed it and would like to keep it.

I thought that a mid life crisis means you dump the wife for a young hottie and get a sports car?

A mid-life crisis hits you regardless of what your marital status might be.

(Or gender for that matter).

Mid-life crisis? Dude, how long do you think you're going to live???

By the time I can afford a mid-life crisis, it'll actually be a 3/4 life one.

How would you dump the wife for a hottie if you are single? I suspect if you are going to be strict about it, you'd have to get married so you can dump her for something younger.

I'm having a 3/4 one, at least according to the missus. I've decided to satisfy mine by adding to my collection of .41 and .44 caliber revolvers. Feck the stupid cars. My brand spanking new 6 in. model 57 in .41 magnum will be here in a week or so, and I haven't even found respectable leather for the 6 inch 629 no dash I bought a couple of weeks ago. I still love my 1911s, but big old hand cannons give me a chubby!

Try a 454 Casull and then a 500 S&W Mag. That hand cannon should give you a hand that shakes like a Parkinson's patient.
