CPAC 2014

or as one columnist headlined: Come for the Crazy, Stay for the Party.

The best

Perhaps the oddest moment of the convention so far was when the Senate minority leader, who is facing a tough reelection fight in his home state of Kentucky, brought a rifle onstage as Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer" blared from the P.A. system. The gun was a gift for retiring Sen. Tom Coburn (R-Okla.) as a lifetime achievement award from the National Rifle Association. Yes, this happened.

pish . . you call that a rifle?

The rifle MUST be an assault rifle...it uses black powder. We all know that anything with the color black on it MUST be bad, right?

So does no one know that it was a Kentucky rifle and be is from Kentucky? Furthermore
Have people not realized that the
Second
Amendment is supported by conservatives?

Of course for liberals it is
Typical to ridicule opinions that do not agree with their own.

It was a very good gesture.

CPAC sounds like a disease. Is it terminal?

Preach to the deaf brother.

The only good good amendment to a liberal progressive is the fifth.

Yeah, I guess Lois Lerner is a good example of that.

I too am absolutely NOT a fan of Rick Perry. Wouldn't give you fifteen cents for him. His speech at the CPAC, however, was OUTSTANDING. Proves that even a blind squirrel finds a pecan every once in awhile.

It's about principles. The principles he encouraged were EXACTLY correct. Basically he pointed out that the government should not be in the education business or the healthcare business. These comments are exactly correct.

Correct principles are correct principles, no matter who is voicing them.

Another great speech at the CPAC was Dr. Ben Carson. He talked about some solid principles, proposing that control be put back in the hands of the people instead of the government. It is obvious that it is now in the hands of a few self serving idiots that would sell their momma on a street corner for one vote.
