New Mercedes GLK 250 4cyl. Turbo Diesel

It gets almost 33 mpg or 7.1L/100kms.
I think the guy on the program said 200hp and 369 ft/pounds torque and is a 4 cylinder turbo diesel.

More like 24 city 33 highway. 7.1L/100km = 33.1 mpg

I'm sure its a very nice car but for that kind of money I would rather have the extra 100hp of the 350.

I got all excited after watching the Canadian version of motor trend, and posted right after....I feel kinda silly, now, since it is really not anything new, as I had thought. It was released for 2013, so is a year old already....The guy on T.V claimed he got an average of a 400km highway trip, (through 2 cities). of 7.1L/100kms. I used an online converter and it said 39.79 miles per gallon. The guy on the program said that is what the factory rated it. Maybe the imperial gal.?

I was trying to see if the 4 cyl. had a cast iron block and it does...aluminum cylinder head.

I saw that the 6 cyl. Diesel V6 Blutec block is made of compressed graphite??? Lots of torque out of both!

The specs for the new 4 cyl.version. give it a few horsepower more than last years model.

Whoever is buying these new or even slightly used, is parting with a lot more money than I would for one.

Nope, the X204 GLK is akin to the W204 C-Class.

Not so exciting, anymore. Sounds like the earlier versions had problems too, upon further research.
