Some old mill towns outside Pittsburgh decided to tear down huge plots of dilapidated old abandoned buildings about 15 years ago. What they never considered was all the rats living in these buildings.

But Jorn doesn't constantly make threads about how terrible LA is. I am curious Roy, why not move?

This is the automobile center of the USA.

I have connections to all levels of the industry.

The difficult can usually be done in a working day, the impossible may take a week.

Etc,etc...

I am stubborn, and refuse to walk away from my home - family.

“The true New Yorker secretly believes that people living anywhere else have to be, in some sense, kidding.” ― John Updike

I think this might apply to Detroiters and Angelenos as well...

Alright Roy, I have a question: If someone who never visited Detroit before had a choice of spending a day in the Motor City or slamming a car door on their fingers, which would you recommend?

heres some good news, while you are underwater, being eaten by rats, and waiting 2 days for an ambulance full of gang bangers that will shoot you dead, you can enjoy some quality beer.

Something good is brewing in down-on-its-luck Detroit. - chicagotribune.com

There is no law against Detroiters having pets. A major and growing rat infestation may be hard to deal with though.

We dealt with them when the farm next door changed their operations in some ways a few years back. The older homes in Detroit wiring insulation is a consumable for them. So they represent a safety hazard in many ways as well.
