We continue to hold unrealistic expectations of industry and government. A clever, ambitious politician sees this difference between reality and expectations as an opportunity.

Ike hardly needed a platform to beat Stevenson. Everybody had chickens in their pots & cars in their backyards.;) Good fortune and victory allowed Ike to out-Harding Harding. No return to normalcy here. The new normal was American supremacy. The 56 election:
