If they had valid passports. Probably slipped out of the country to one with no extradition process. As soon as they found out they were being sought. This couple are plain and simply outright criminals..

Something doesn't sound right about this story. These people had a proven record as earners. Seems they could come up something less risky for the amount of money they scammed. $2.6M in the bank is not chump change. If they were blamed for scamming a $million or so it would sound more rational.

They used to work the poor to death. That did not extend their lives though. Maybe in a way it did.

That is a weird story. People are hard to figure sometimes. Looks like if they were going to pull a scam they'd go for a bigger prize.

Seems like petty greed. Why weren't they printing C notes or something a little more intriguing? Maybe they started out as trailer trash and are just getting back to their roots.

Trailer trash is a handy negative stereotype but plenty of fine people live in trailers.

"Trailer trash" is so much quicker to type than "trash that happens to live in a trailer".

The bigger issue is how do two people get checks cut for 23K per year period, from the taxpayers. I am OK with $250/mo food stamps $400/mo assistance, but unless you are disabled there should not be that kind of money thrown around.
