Option Sheet Sticker Shock

Remember when every Porsche guy had to have Imron paint . . . cheapskates, now it's $63K for special paint . . . of course!

You Do Want The Leather Fuse Box Cover, Right?

Or maybe they’ll request a color sample of the Liquid Metal Chrome Blue paint available on the 918 Spyder hybrid supercar. (It adds $63,000 to the car’s $847,975 base price.)

That’s right: $63,000 for paint.

Basically, the paint job is a new E-Class.

You can have quite a lot of fun on the Porsche web site seeing how easy you can get the price of a base model to match that of its top end equivalent

My favorite Porsche options are the ones where you pay more to have something removed (The article mentions the most expensive option in the world removes AC and the sound system )

Porsche is pretty good at it, but Bugatti and Zonda are the kings.

Zonda will let you go full out custom if you want, have to have a 6spd manual? No problem.

AMG actually still does custom stuff as well, just for good customers if you ask.

It all comes down to how big of a check you want to write at that level, many manufactures will oblige you well into the 7 figure range if you wish.

Paint is just paint, how about tinted full bare Carbotanium? Because you know carbon fiber is so old fashion...

The 918 is cool, but I'm with Hatty here. That market is really cornered by others.

With that said, Bugatti and AMG are out though - commoners can purchase them!
