1980 240D Power to Manual window conversion
Hello, I have a 1980 240 that I want to convert the unreliable power windows to manuals. What parts exactly would I need for this, and what would I need to change/remove for this?

Parts are 100% interchangeable. You need the 'scissor' regulator, the crank and bolts, that's it. The only thing you need to modify is the door card, by cutting a little hole for the crank rod. Installation is easy as pie, it just takes a little bit of effort to position it in place. If it's the first time you are doing it, take plenty of pictures to remember the position of each bolt. Also, watch your fingers, as the sharp edges around the door hole can give you some deep, nasty cuts!

great idea. My W126 is a manual wind up window car and I love it. About to change my 924 Porsche to the same. Much more relaible in aging cars with potentially crusty wires.
