About fifty years ago I was learning something about oil trading with an old guy who was always quick to call out a lie coming from another trader. He would say, "You may not live by the truth, but you are sure quick to trade on it."

This fellow in LA is not living by his Christian faith and strong Republican values but he is sure quick to trade on them. If what he is selling is his boni-fidies as a true defender of the faith and then he turns out to not be what he says he is then what has he got?

The answer is nothing. Is a nothing scam artist the person you want passing your laws? Rush Limbaugh said that anyone who is a known lier must be run out of office as quickly as possible, so I am waiting for the Conservatives to do the same with this guy.

If both parties ran all the liars out, we would not have a quorum in either house. Of course, this might be a good thing. Perhaps a congressional recess for about a year might be good for the country.

Friend of mine caught his wife sleeping with the pastor of the largest methodist church here. She was going to chaperone a trip to Italy and she was going to go "early" just for fun. He found out and divorced her. Now he's broke and the divorce lawyers are suing him for the last $2,000 in fees.
