I have tried a Glock model 29. Like the weight but not the fit. Maybe this would be a good compromise.

If you want a plastic pistol, I'd suggest a SigPro SP2022. The only one tupperware gun I own. Everything a Glock ISNT, except the plastic.

Ugh, if you want a plastic gun get a Glock or an H&K.

All the other plastic modern pistols are pretty much interchangeable and the same.

looks very interesting to me. might catch on and sell like hotcakes. ive known alot of people who would love to carry a 1911 daily, but find it too heavy.

I agree. Since its a 1911 it will garner a lot of sales and critical assessment.

It's pretty damned amazing that a 100 year-old pistol is still getting make-overs and is still in use for it's primary purpose.

JMB was the most important small arms designer in the history of small arms.

His improved 1911 the Hi Power is still in use all over the world.

It weighs just a hair more than a Kimber Tactical Custom at 31 oz and this one at 2.04 or a little more than 32 oz. Wonder what made it that way? What are the principal advantages of going poly?

You sold me on the SP2022 and I bought one. It's a damn fine pistol.

I don't like how the magazine extends on the poly 1911, looks dumb.

I dropped my 1911 Kimber for a Sig p220. I wanted DA in a 45. I guess the 1911 simply wasn't that amazing as a gun. No one can say it wasn't a good shooting gun. It has history and I suppose some people are nostalgic about it but for me it is little more than a good shooting gun. Now my Desert Eagle was the best gun I traded off but that too is history

The 1911 is somewhat like the W123 Diesels for the 1980s a new one did what it was designed to do and did that really well.

I the Case of the Gun it was taken to several Wars and worked it also worked really well when used. So it is hard to ignore that.
No one has much to say about the Revolvers that were also used in 2 of the Wars.
