A guy on another forum posted youtubes of the 3 finalists (I think there was 3). I watched them, they weren't bad, was somewhat entertaining but then I like going to and participating in open mics. People getting up and stretching the legs of their fledgling talent is often worth a listen.
FWIW, here are the three vids: Christina Grimmie: "Can't Help Falling in Love" (The Voice Highlight) - YouTube Jake Worthington: "Right Here Waiting" (The Voice Highlight) - YouTube Josh Kaufman: "Set Fire to the Rain" (The Voice Highlight) - YouTube I thought the second one above was most solid. He was the youngest FWIW, a country sort of treatment of a popular classic. The lady had sweet pipes but just way too much ill advised free-lance trilling. Really have to know how to keep that stuff sparse and tasty. The last guy didn't do it for me. I could tell you who won but that would spoil all the fun here.

The entertainment media seems to believe that "talent shows" have run their course and have been plummeting in the ratings. Taking the biggest fall is "American Idol" since it had the farthest place to fall from. I understand that Fox is cutting the airtime this season.
