2006 750i how to display odometer

Helping a friend with a 2006 750i with no owner manual. How can she display the odometer? Presently displaying 5.9km/li. My '95 S420 did far better than 14 mpg.

Curious that the odometer can be "hidden" in such a way. On my E39 the odometer is a separate display from the multi-function one that does trip odo, mileage, distance, avg speed, etc.

Anyway!

I don't know how to solve this. However, I did find a page with the manuals in PDF for download:

Cool, thanks! I didn't notice the button on the corner of the gauge cluster.
