Really, it's a manual transmission....

Brought the car to the mechanic to have the driveshaft oil seal changed. I knew that manual 240D's weren't super common in the US, so I had the mechanic order the seal in advance and check availability. Whaddya know! They sent a seal for an automatic ... fortunately, MBUSA does have the manual item in stock, but it won't be at the mechanic's till next week.

About half the 240Ds I see are manual.

Hard to imagine he did not ask and you did not tell him it was a stick...at the same time...

I assumed that MBUSA just sent the wrong part... but I may be wrong.

10 bucks says the mechanic or whoever ordered looked up the wrong part number and blamed the warehouse.
