Poor Baby...

Hillary was on with Barbara Sawyer whining about being broke when they left the Whiethouse. Poor baby, they've been dying of starvation. They sacrificed themselves for the good of the country.

For some reason, she forgot to point out that at that point they were saddled with a $4 million fine for Bill being convicted of perjury. For some reason she also forgot to mention that she had gotten an $8 million advance for her book in December before leaving office.

Oh, we need to feel so sorry for them. They had to settle for living in a falling down shack in New York and living on Vienna sausage and crackers. How horrible.

I should be ashamed for living with plenty to eat while an ex president and his family starve to death.

I can't wait for this whining queen to be our president.

Even under the most conservative dress codes, an occasional peek at a woman's ankle is possible. The allure of forbidden fruit and all that

There are some ankles that'll turn even the most devout thigh enthusiast, of course.

Money is all relative. I know people who have net worths in the multiple millions and they think they are broke because it takes more money than what they have to maintain their lifestyle.

I also know people who are truly in debt and think they are very well off because they have their health.

Did she think they were broke when they left the White House? Maybe to her they were. G. W. Bush thought so when he left the White House and said so several times. This despite the fact he had a ranch worth a few million and had just laid out cash for an $800,000 house. But Bush was very clear about how he needed to start making speeches to "pump up the old bank account."

Laura was making noises about just dumping the ranch and solving any money problems they might have, but he wanted to hang on it since it is a part of what he is.

Well said. You are correct. Of course the difference between bush whining and hillary whining is that bush is not positioning to run for office. I would think that most people in this country are in a financial position that would make it hard for them to shed tears for hillary's financial position.

To your point about relatively wealthy people thinking they are broke. I remember watching a TV interview with a wealthy investor back in the seventies. The context of the interview was taxes. The interviewer posed the question: "what would be the ideal amount of money to make?" The person being interviewed started to answer the question, but then stopped and grinned real big and said "just a little bit more."

I think at some point of wealth, part of the purpose for making more money is
To see a better looking scoreboard.

I'm not whining. I'm informing. I expect that there are a few people who are in a financial position that would find her whining about being broke after an $8 million check to be quite informative.

This all goes to the narcissistic mind set of our next president.

Sure, ignore the substance of the post and attack the poster.

Makes you wonder the mental age of you guys...

Larry makes a good point on how Hillary claimed they were destitute, when in fact they had millions. She flat out lied about their financial situation in an attempt to garner sympathy as she heads up to running for POTUS in 2016.

What I see is that wealth is truly relative. $35,000 to one person makes them feel wealthy, while it takes the rich millions upon millions to to feel that way.

Hillary claiming they had nothing was a blatant lie, and shows just how out of touch with reality the Clinton family can be.

Stupid comment to make. I'm sure that will come back to bite her in the ass but I don't think it will affect her chances of winning the WH if she chooses to run.

IIRC, her husband is a former President of the United States, and may have some experience regarding the scrutiny that Presidential candidates are put under by the media; potential political opponents and the opposing party national committee. Do you really think that they would lie about something so easily researched as the status of their finances? I'm reasonably certain that you're a little brighter than this.
