Next Great Scandal?
Looks like Congress wants to see these immigrant holding facilities......

Comes with caveats, lots of them......

Sent to members of Congress and staff by Rose Hacking, of the office of the assistant secretary of legislation at HHS, the invitation comes with the following commands:

No recording devices will be allowed (We may ask you to leave your cellphone in our vehicle)
No questions will be allowed during the tour, but questions will be addressed later
No interacting with staff and children at the shelter
We will provide photos of the facility after the tour
During the tour, ”the tour guide will detail what goes on from room to room and the services youth are provided on a daily basis,” the email invitation reads.


But one congressional staffer invited to tour the facility called the planned tours “a dog and pony show.”


“Don’t talk to anyone, don’t record anything you might happen to see, but come visit us and we’ll give you a sanitized story with only the photos and accounts we want you to have,” said the staffer, who requested anonymity.


“This isn’t some totalitarian closed society trying this tactic, this is our own government. They clearly wouldn’t be offering up this kind of dog and pony show if they weren’t hiding a very ugly truth somewhere.”

Whatever the next scandal turns out to be, after all we've seen up until now, I am convinced that nothing will surprise me.

The counsul from Honduras has already visited the Tucson/Nogales facility and Gov. Brewer was scheduled to tour also. Even state representative has visited:

State Rep. Rosanna Gabaldón, D-Sahuarita, Rep. Stefanie Mach, D-Tucson, and Rep. Demion Clinco, D-Tucson, visited the Nogales, Ariz., facility where the children are being held, and issued a joint news release Monday saying Arizona has a moral responsibility to assure the children are being properly cared for.

Sarah Palin recently got wind of what is going on in Arizona with these kids. She has called out the Republican Party on this and said she is outraged that the Republicans that run the state would allow such conditions to exist.

She also threw in some harsh words for Obama, but that's to be expected. What is new is that she seems to finally seems to begin to understand that using these kids as a political football is a terrible thing to do and she wants the Republicans and Conservatives of all stripes to just stop the nonsense.

She even went so far as to say she is about ready to denounce the Republican Party and turn her back on it 100%.

I hope she is not considering becoming a Democrat. Perhaps she is trying gin up support for a third party? I really doubt that she cares one whit about the kids, but if people are getting their name in the news over it then why should she be left out?

Could change today...after everybody went home in DC tonight, it was released two years of Lois Lerners email were lost when the IRS computer crashed.
