Always had a thing for these, especially after seeing on in the flesh.

Is that a "JFK" or "Crash" Lincoln? I'd be a bit creeped out to own one.

It's a '66, JFK had a '63, presidential-modified, with the bubble top removed on his last ride, 11/22/63

This is a car that you want to buy in as good a condition as possible. Parts are not cheap, and the 462 M-E-L engine was last produced for early-'68 Connies (When Lincoln began producing the Mark III in '68, Lincoln adopted the new 460 Ford engine across the Lincoln line).

The price is insane...sounds like he promised the wife to put it up for sale, yet has no intention of ever selling it.

Because I've used that tactic in the past with an ex-wife concerning project cars I've owned in the past...

I thank the Lord above for the wife I have now...she has never griped or complained once about my hobbies, cars included.

These cars have very tight engine compartments. If you don't have small hands this is a tough car to work on.

400 parts and two motors to get the roof up and down. Makes for a great hobby.

Oh God no. We had a '63 and a '65 - both bought new - when my dad was a prosperous contractor in my youth. Learned how to drive on the '65. Boats, monstrosities. Almost 3 tons. The convertible amps it up even more.

RUN!!!
