History mis-remembered?

Monica Lewinsky revisits 'humiliation' of Clinton affair in interview | Reuters
Quote:

"I was the most humiliated woman in the world," she said, according to a preview of the interview that appeared on NBC's "Today" show on Tuesday.
Didn't she say in a book or interview somewhere that she was striving to be the best bj-ist ever? But she could have meant her humiliation at the publicity, not at seducing the CIC.
Quote:

"To be called stupid and a slut and a bimbo, and ditzy and to be taken out of context, it was excruciating."
Not the context of on her knees in the oval office?
Quote:

"I was a virgin to humiliation of that level, until that day," Lewinsky said. "I mean it was just violation after violation."
At least to something :)
Quote:

Lewinsky broke her long silence last month in an article for Vanity Fair magazine, in which she said she deeply regretted what had happened and was "determined to have a different ending" to her story.
I dunno, if willy had a happy ending I don't think that can be taken back? :D

If one is in a position of power over another person, it is the responsibility of the one in power to treat the subordinate with respect. This includes not using one's position to one's advantage over the subordinate. Including using the subordinate as a sex toy.

If I were to do that with an intern I would likely be fired or at least, heavily disciplined with sanctions.

A subordinate must be able to trust the judgement and integrity of her superior. IT can be no other way.

High school girls give BJs to guys in the halls every day. They take turns. It's just for laughs. Somehow this is different? BS.

"Well I'm not like that". Just cause you didn't.

I seem to remember the cic using a cigar. Somehow I doubt that it was her idea.

The American people will elect just about anyone. Including this draft dodger. Mean while I was drafted and many of my friends never made it back.

I don't think he {Clinton} was a bit better than the pseudo intellectual in office now. He {aka Barry} keeps saying that the working man is being hurt. Yet his audiences are almost entirely super rich left wingers. Just double talk.

Mean while the base of the tea party is decidedly middle class who is sick and tired of paying the bills for the elites and the lazy.

Look at the centers of the elite. Manhattan, Hollywood. Both are so left that they are what the Romans would call "sinister".

Your first statement may be somewhat accurate but the rest of the post does not really match the facts. As for Monica, I guess she is going for another 15 minutes in the sun.

Well said to the above.
And if there was no blue dress they would be denying it ever happened to this day.

Yes and yes.

shame she was treated that way by the administration and the press. same thing happened to Jennifer Flowers. Some ways this is no different than accusing that 12 year old in another thread of seducing a grown man.

He got a deferment (legal). Not the same as a draft dodger (illegal). As I recall, draft dodgers got pardoned in 1977.

A study of the word "office" is revealing. Office, Office Dejure, Office Defacto, Color of Office (there is a good one), Office of the President of General Motors, Office of the President of the United States and a new term Husky is adding, Debasing or Degenerating the Office.

We are all witnesses to the slow, deliberate debasing or degeneration of various Offices. The fish rots from the head down. As the leadership goes, so goes the country and we are headed straight for he**.

Grown man? Billy boy?

TW He had lost his deferment, was classified A1 and was gaming the system to stay out. An article from 1992 in the NY Times relates to it. Slick Willie, a draft dodger? His wife may be further left than obama.

I voted for Ross Perot in 1992 A good lesson for voting for the lessor of the two evils.

The beauty of the draft is that it really puts any war to the acid test. It also keeps the US Military much more in touch with the general public. I worry about any professional army in times like these.

Saw a bumper sticker on the back of a faded, beat-up looking old Toyota pickup truck today.

It said:

RICH MAN'S WAR

POOR MAN'S BLOOD

Just saying what I saw.

Silber Adler 07-02-2014 06:21 PM

JimB Yep you said it. It was a real eyeopener being put in the pool.

Still if the country is at stake, people will put up with it. After South Viet Nam there was a ground swell of trying to stay out of civil wars. But was quickly lost to the new leaders. In the last 6-7 years I have noticed the increasing amounts of younger broken bodies when I go to the VA.
