If you want to enrich your soul, find meaning, etc, etc, nobody is saying it is a bad thing. Like any enterprise besides being a government, it has to be able to pay for itself first and foremost. Education is a tool like anything else. Once it can pay back what was put in financially, the rest is up for debate as to which path to take.

My apologies in advance if these sources of ROI data by University have already been presented:
Money Magazine:
Money Magazine’s Top 50 Colleges At a Glance - 1

Payscale.com:
http://www.payscale.com/college-roi/

In general, very high quality private schools (but not necessarily Ivy's) seem to do best in these rankings.

People who go to " very high quality private schools" likely get their first job on family connections.

What I'm seeing in my little part of the world is a large amount of 25-35 year old's trying to start their life but have to much student loan debt.

Its criminal letting these people take out essentially mortgages on their future.

Connection between rich and powerful is better than the alternative. As I said, it is more pleasant to wax philosophical in comfort than discomfort. Or so my experience has been.

If you are unable to function as an adult, perhaps a ward of the state is more to your liking.?

I don't blame them. It is just one of the reasons the Schools are going to remain more exclusive.
Besides, as the one Member suspects I just am just guessing.

I don't think you are wrong. Also their Parents know or even might be on the list of "Who is Who".
