No different from you giving me a piece of paper and pen with your keys. I mean, when you pay with a debit or credit card, do you watch the waitstaff? I know I do. In fact, I do all I can to minimize the time they have and watch if they are trying to memorize my number and the 4 or 3 digit code.

I have so many keys and lose them at least once a week. They usually find their way home but this would be an awesome way to organize and keep copies for the future. Sure it'll be abused. What isn't?

Why do you think I replaced my locks with keypads? You know what they say, if you are given an open book test, you will forget your book. If you are given a take home test you will forget where you live. If you are given keys, they will get lost.

*** DCs/CCs & A Little Star ***
On the CC/DC thing, I mask-over the 3-digit security code with a single "paper star" (that you can get a package of 100-for-$0.89 at any arts/drugstore/gift/party shop) and then I layer a trimmed piece of Scotch-brand clear tape over that.
If anything is "picked" off, all I have to do is call over the manager (while dialing my CC/DC-issuing Bank to have my account re-arranged) and let the man know that he's got some low-life staff member possibly ripping customers off. OR, the waitstaff is coming over to explain why my card has been tampered with and why he/she/it didn't explain to me that there was a problem and in the process, my card got damaged... Either way, I can see if the "trap" has been "tripped" and I have some way of protecting myself from this type of activity. Then, I'll be on the phone (after the bank-call is completed) contacting the local LEOs to be sure SOMETHING is on file in case charges do, somehow, manage to made on the card. That way, the bank (they'll ask for it...you can bet your last dollar) will be able to start "fraud/theft" actions against the pube(s) (Managers have been found, in some cases, to be in on the scam). So far, no star-damage. Most cretins that do this kind of crap know what that 'star' is about and will leave it alone... But then, there will always be the one that's just too greedy to resist that little bit of temptation...
