What's the best burger you've ever had?
I'm a few miles from two of these, so I may try them out. I don't eat a whole lot of hamburgers anymore, so perhaps I can justify the expense of a premium burger. Particularly if it's freaking awesome.

I've had the burger at one place on the list, Ku Aina, in Haleiwa and in Kakaako . . . good burgers, not memorable. The Counter, in Kahala had a better patty, and the customization options were awesome.

The Hot Gun Burger at Danny's Palm Bar in Coronado, CA. Skip the fries though. They taste weird.
The best burger we have here in Carson is probably Five Guys, but I hardly ever go there since In N Out has better fries, a burger nearly as good, and is considerably cheaper.

I read an article about them in the Food section of the Los Angeles Times not too long ago.

My own are the best thanks. No need to drive. Home baked rolls, junior is an awesome baker. Home raised meat, nice and rare. Thin sliced red onion, romaine and tomatoes all from the garden and a slice of my goat cheddar. Who needs a bunch of fancy crap. It's just a hamburger for pete's sake.

This year we bought a key lime (mexican lime) tree and a meyer lemon tree. Both great cocktail citrus . . . factoring the cost of purchase, fertilizer, watering . . . going to be some really expensive drinks and pie.

Oh yeah, on my burger, ElChivito, I'd like to add bacon. Is that an additional cost, and will the bacon be smoked with the same type of wood the burger is grilled over, or do you use different types for each purpose?

My favorite is Joey C's Roadhouse grill, I get one of his specialty burgers every Friday.
One day he had a special batch of meat right from some organic farm, great burger but pricey at $15.

I know Joey C's. I'll have to try their burger when I'm next there. There was a really great place around Branford called Brandi's Burgers. They closed 3 weeks after we discovered it. Lots of awesome specials, all reminiscent of bob's burgers specials.
