Are they watching videos nonstop? I've yet to use more than 2gigs, and that was when I had it the first month and was excited for the new toy

LOL I routinely go through 80GB+ every month on my phone. Got to love Tmobile unlimited/unthrottled data. 75Mbps download, 25Mbps upload puts TWC to shame.

Yep, I don't exceed my 1GB cap, but I use wifi most of the time.

Holy Liqui Moly. What are you doing with that thing, running a small dictatorship?

Yes, I run my business off my phone as well as serving as my at home internet. TWC is still desperately trying to get me back.

Just about I'd imagine. Lord knows what they're up to (wife keeps tabs, I don't care).

I've personally never gone over 2.2 gigs and use it quite a bit. It's not a permanent fixture in my hand, though. Unlike with Thing 1 and Thing 2.

Every one of my field techs has a smart phone. It wasn't that long ago that we trained techs and expected them to know what they are doing.
Sigh....
I too wanted a manual. All on line now. I suspect it does save paper.

I've read about optional Bluetooth keyboards - aftermarket - for the iPhone 4. It's a bit smaller than then 5 so probably wouldn't fit as well, not sure if it would work the same.

My client assures me that ios8 will allow aftermarket keyboard apps. I don't know enough to know how these compare to Bluetooth keyboards in terms of easy integration. The voice to text works pretty well for me - the arrow keys I had on my brief Android experience made for easier editing which is almost always needed at least a little with the voice thing.

The Arrow Note keyboard for the iPhone is better than anything I could put on my HTC, the cursor arrow will move at high speed when you hold it down, unlike the Android which required continual tapping. You can download this app and try it out even if it doesn't integrate yet. It's like quarantined at this point.

I suspect blue tooth keyboards for the 5 will be available soon and I'd be interested to try one. I'm getting better with the stock keyboard but it's still trouble. Worst is hitting delete when I meant to hit 'M.'

Oh hey, just discovered that the Arrow Note board has a delete key also - you know, deletes forward whereas the stock keyboard only deletes backward. I'm not a stockholder of Arrow Note, full disclosure.

Thanks for that link MTI, incredibly useful!

Keyboards for a PHONE? This is one of the things I don't get. Seems like the solution to a non-problem. If I'm typing anything significant, I'm on a MacBook Pro, not some dinkyass phone.

It's definitely a generational thing. I do quotes, submittal letters and make spec sheets often when I'm out of the office. I've always got my phone on me (except while on vacation!) and (almost) always have a signal but I don't always have my laptop or tablet. I sure wouldn't be typing reports or creating a sales presentation on it. But I'm a near-codger.

My kids and my younger reps think nothing of typing away on the things or even on their iPads. They're certainly more proficient at it. My more "experienced" reps like having a keyboard because that's what they've grown comfortable with over the years with their TRS-80's and their Apple II's.

I'm running an "ancient" phone simply because it has a physical keyboard. Makes remote sessions much easier.
