Eddy out right behind the airplane fuselage, man.
That has to be a seriously expensive derailment. Someone should look into purchasing some fuselages to use as cabins in the woods since I doubt they're going to be airworthy anymore.

I've actually seen TV shows on HGTV featuring people living in converted airplane fuselages on their property.

This how we keep those pesky low flying planes from buzzing our tracks...

The private railroads are ALLOWED to mismanage and poorly maintain their infrastructure, despite that it's built on land GIVEN to them by the government 150 years ago. Pathetic.

Wonder who will be liable for this little fiasco?

Hopefully the railroad. And they're lucky it was just airplane fuselages, not tank cars of toxic chemicals or fuel oil.

Like any good disaster the beneficial economic impact will abound. The insurance carrier will raise its rates, increasing its profits based on allowable percentage, the replacement order has already been placed and Boeing and its employees all prosper on the overtime rush order terms. The town where these are made and all the suppliers get trickled on economically. The plane scrapper company has a windfall, the recovery company, etc.
Win win all the way around. |
