Enterprise took some time to get its legs and they were shaky when it did. By the 4th season though, they were a lot better. I think the tie ins in with TOS is what made that.
I liked the premise of the series but lacked a certain something. I didn't care for the 3rd season plot and they dragged it out far too long in my opinion, and the season 3 ending was just odd. I know the show was changing producers...I kind of viewed the ending as a FU to the next guy. I think throughout the show they eventually explain the TOS Klingons. Worf at least mentioned it in TNG or DS9.. Maybe in DS9's mirror universe episode?
