Tailgaters, left lane campers, and winter driving momentum destroyers. You know, the people who in snow driving brake hard right before an incline then try and creep up it with 10% tread summer tires, forcing everyone behind them to do the same and also get stuck.

Whos first and whos second ,its everyones freeway ,I gain speed on some getting in my lane espicially when theirs plenty of room behind me ,at least 4 car links,if its crowded then thats a different story .This comes up on every occasion when your on the freeway and theirs an exit coming up ,some treat it like a NASCAR pitting excersize ,they jam in frt of you because theirs just enough space to squeese in ,then tap the brakes to tell you your following to close after theyve made the ridiculous close call on your frt bumper. This is called the "OK,WATCH ME CLOWNS" ,everyone is considered to be slower than them so it allows them to graduate to top of the class.Ive witnessed this driving behavior in an 18 wheeler before heading south bound into Houston ,the no signaling idiot while speeding was just the right recipe for disaster ,the exit to the Sam Houston tollway was a few miles up which he just made the exit ,he then headed west bound still speeding not knowing the tollbooth was just another 3 miles ahead and is always backed-up at this time of the morning ,I just knew that this is were he would end up killing someone. As the toll booth area came into view YOU could see nothing but white smoke erupt as the rig made all of its effort in stopping the heavy weight slow to a stop.I pulled to the booth and made one of the numerous complaints about how this guy was probably on something and nearly came close to killing someone,I believe the lady who was stopped at her toll booth next to mine and out of her car was going to make sure of it .

My pet peeves

1) Those who drive 40mph in a 55mph zone who sometimes accumulate 10,15 cars behind them for miles on end.

2) People who drive without lights on when it's raining or snowing or it's very foggy. Blinking my lights at them to remind them does no good either.

3) Left lane hoggers - who get side by side with a semi and just sit there...

4) People who brake when they approach a green traffic light - like they can't stand the pressure of an imminent yellow light.

5) People who blast their boom boxes at the stop lights that rattle the windows and teeth of those around them.

6) People who park crooked and take up 2 spots in a packed parking lot.

7) Those who ignore the "Right Lane Ends" signs and blast pass the waiting line of cars so they can wiggle they way up to the front of the line. I sometimes pull out to block their attempts.

5. My brother lived in Arlington when he was stationed at the Pentagon. One afternoon on his way home he's stopped at a light. Up pull a couple of mofo's blaring sheet. He pops a Souza tape in his unit and out blasts them. Got a few positive thumbs up and honks from surrounding drivers.

6. Key ' em then.

A few years ago I took an anti terrorism / pursuit driving class, the PIT maneuver might come in handy some day. . . The key is to turn in to the other car, accelerate _and_ wave to the driver of the other car as they rotate helplessly 'cross your front bumper.. .

Mix in racing a Formula Ford on road race tracks and some oval track in a 3600 LB car, I can read traffic pretty well and not leave many gaps for lane hoppers.

Right lane speeders.
I totally understand the aversion to left lane hogs, but there is another group that on a 3 lane 50 mph highway, with the right lane having a lot of retail establishment driveways, will use the right lane as their own personal high speed lane completely disregarding that there is a normal flow of people passing in the left lane the proper way.
No, those in the left are not passing at 75 mph, but at a normal pace, 5-10 mph over those in the middle lane, making sure the people in the middle lane see them.

And then there are the usual people who don't signal and don't understand physics.

Here in NJ, if you are in the middle lane and you want someone to pass you on the left who is hanging back in a borderline blindspot, just signal your intention to go into the left lane and they will accelerate to not let you do it, but at least they will pass you.

As I recall on my last visit to NJ, left turns are illegal on many roads. Very frustrating to get in the left lane before making a turn, then realize you need to be in the right lane instead!
Also illegal is self-service gas!

Happy motoring,

Happy motoring,
No dirty hands, pay at the pump and RUG is $ 3.19 per gallon at the moment 'round here. What's not to like?

At least NJDOT has eliminated most of the infamous circles in the state. Country roads still have some 5 way All Stop intersections though.

Just yesterday, I was making a right into a parking lot, through a ramp by the sidewalk, with my turn signals on.

A van parked curbside was slowly creeping forward towards my entrance ramp, with no signals indicating he wanted to get into the main lanes and out of parking, so I honked to stop him from closing the space. If he was getting off from the curb he should signal, and wait for others to clear the road.

This pisses me off. It happens all the time on the turnpike (3 lanes). I'm sitting there in the middle lane, doing 75, passing semi's in the right lane. Some traffic is passing me in the left lane. But there is always that boob that uses the right lane when the left lane just isnt passing fast enough!

Worst drivers I've encountered tend to be Kia drivers. I cannot stand those cars.

absolutely loathed when I had my bike. now those days are long past, so I just grumble in their general direction as I observe the lack of attention for the task at hand. guilty of all sins previously mentioned, usually multiple counts.
