Anyone replaced iPhone glass?

I found a web site that sells tools, parts, and instructions.
The ad speaks highly of it.
Anyone actually do it?

Which iPhone model?

I've done it on a few, newest being a iPhone 5C.

From experience, get a screen that comes pre-assembled with the ear speaker, camera, home button, etc. Moving that stuff is a PITA, and if you're like me, and have problems with fat fingers, doesn't usually work after the migration to the new screen.

Someone at work asked me if I could find a place where he could go to replace his broken iPhone 5S screen. Because we were very busy I looked up a mobile smart phone repair man. Within 45 minutes, he had two other clients before me, a guy came over in a Range Rover and a small tool kit.

Six screws and approximately 7 minutes later it was fixed; the bill was $180,-. My guess is this guy makes around $1000/2000 a day, seven days a week. Some places he would visit every other month.

After my iphone III or IV whatever it was had the glass broken a few times - a VERY slippery case) I bought it a leather case which it just slipped out a couple of more times.

So I got rid of the thing and for a few years have used one of those cheap "burner" cell phones.

I use it when I travel so the prepurchased minutes I buy, 250 of them last me about 6 months at a time, no multi-year contracts to get stuck with.

But I hate yapping on phones and don't do it much. And I certainly wouldn't want to listen to music, play games or watch movies on one of those little things. I have no idea what a telephone "app" is or how to "text" and could care less about those things.

Unlike the millions and millions of adolescent zombies that walk around - and sometimes drive motor vehicles - with their faces buried in their little phones: behold tomorrow's leaders..

Lotta scams out there involving iPhone screen repairs. The parts are NEVER Apple parts no matter what anyone tells you. The glass isn't Gorilla glass and the panel won't be a Retina panel. Apple doesn't repair phones, period. They replace them.
I sent my 5C in to Apple and for 269 dollars got a brand new phone. They'll even do it out of warranty, pretty much any phone qualifies as long as it's not in pieces.

$50

I'm no iPhone aficionado, but got mine done by a guy that has a little corner repair spot inside a convenience store I frequent and it was $50. He did a nice job & the dude can fix anything. PM me. I'll be glad to take care of yours if you want to overnight it. He has 24 hour turnaround.
