I was rather amused by one of the comments made by one of the girls in that article. *****ing about not going to public school to be prevented from "expressing herself" and how the only thing the school should be worried about is her graduating with "life skills".

If I were a teacher I'd inform the little skank that the only reason shes in school is to get an education, not to practice for life as a sitcom tart. Of course I'm not a teacher - big surprise.

Where I am most of our schools have long since adopted a uniform code. Or at least what passes for a uniform in the US public school system. This is elementary and junior high, not high school.
