Not if you use some type of locking bolt to hold it. It's not the kind of thing that you need to adjust often once it's set right.

If I have to spend $150 on a seat, the bike better be worth at least a grand.

Great idea, very clever! However the reason there are so many seats on the market is because everyone has a different preference when it comes to seat comfort. I think it might be better to make the seat post as the integrated lock and not the seat itself.

They might have though of that, but height adjustment issues? Slipping shaft - torque requirement.
