Had the IS300 for a week now.

Observations - the 2JZ is buttery smooth, and sounds VERY similar the M103. The 5 speed autotragic transmission is also buttery smooth but also slow, often times making me think that they slow the shift down to ensure quality.

I have parts here to do the timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, and wires/boots. Parts are quite a bit cheaper than similar MB parts, and the repair process seems to be more straight forward than MB.

If she treats me well for another month, I'm planning to get an inexpensive set of coilovers and swaybars, and hit the track with it.

Good plan.

Timing belt on the GS300 was not hard to do at all.
