High School QB: Defining Moment?
Spanish Fork vs Maple Mtn HS Football Oct 28, 2014 - YouTube
With 3.7 seconds left in the Class 4A state play-in game, Spanish Fork held a 14-11 lead over Maple Mountain and was faced with a fourth down. Instead of punting, the Dons elected to try to waste time to end the game. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the call, but it didn't work out the way the coaches drew it up. |

Similar play at Shawnee Mission South HS in Overland Park, Ks. With the lead and only a few seconds left, the SMS QB took the snap and instead of taking a knee, he faded back, thinking time would run out, ending the game. An opposing player took the ball out of the QB's hands and ran for a TD. The ruling was that, even though the clock had run out, the play was still in progress. Kid took a lot of heat.

I feel for all of those people from Spain whose occupation is dish washer. That team name is so offensive, they should rename the team.

The team name? I couldn't see a mascot name. I'm guessing Spanish Fork is the name of the town or high school. Not sure what you find offensive about it. Could refer to a fork in the road.
Ah, found this on the web site of Spanish Fork City, UT: Quote:

Thankfully this kid's goof up will be overshadowed by this great college play
