99 Miata sport deux

Since I am buying another Miata I thought I'd start another thread in its honor.

It has some cosmetic issues but the chassis is rust free and it has special revalved Bilstesin shocks with special bump stops, new suspension bushings and bolts, an extra set of very light wheels, and a removable factory hardtop....oh yeah, a speeder muffler like I had on my old one!

It felt really really good to drive one again. With all the solid chassis tweaks it felt glued to the road.

It felt a little poochy though so perhaps I'll have to add a supercharger or something!

I already posted in the other thread the picture I have but when I get it on November 15, I'll post more.

Cool!

I loaded up the Miata and headed home with my trailer. Once the car was on it the two left side tires looked very low. I stopped and put in air and whilst doing so found a bad stem which leaked if I moved it, so I kept my speed down to 55 all the way home and got home just fine. The low slung Miata on the trailer netted 21.3 mpg on the way home. Wow!

Where is the picture of the new Mazda Tom?

I've got a customer with a 91 model and personally, I feel it is one of the most fun cars to drive that I have an opportunity to operate, opps wait, I forgot about the 04 SL600. Just kidding, I still like the Miata better.

When I was wrenching for a living I got to drive a couple customers' Miatas. Fun as all get out to drive, but I have this aversion to convertibles from having owned one. If they sold a coupe version in the US I'd be on it. As it is, if I'm going to be in the weather, I'd rather be on two wheels.

This one has a removable hard top. Its very snug. The Mrs. and I drove up to Monticello for supper last night with the temp below freezing and it was as snug as a sedan. The road up there is filled with lovely turns!
