While not a record I once parallel parked my Saab with 4 inches to spare on a real street with more people watching. It was opposite the Paramount theater with around 75 people waiting outside. I could see them pointing and talking, I assume most speculating it couldn't be done. After a several point approach I had it centered. As I exited the car the crowd erupted into applause and I took a bow before continuing on my way.

do you mean "about 4" on each end? or actually 4" total on both ends?

without powersliding into the spot, there is no way you can park a car with normal steering into a spot 4" larger than your vehicle...
