Went to go check this beast out today:



Have to say it was plastictular! Damn near the whole thing was made of plastic - felt like I was going to to crack the plastic when i pushed on the quarter panel.

Wicked fast at any speed though - makes some serious torque. Scared the bejesus out of me when the @s s started to come around on me in 4th gear on the freeway.

Thoughts? I think I've been bitten by the snake... I kinda want one now! Must resist, need a europain car, not another American pos.

Back in 2000, I was riding my motorcycle around the country and stopped at my cousin's house in Long Beach, CA. He apologized for not being available the previous night as he went to a concert in SF (?) with his friend....who owned a Viper. My cousin (not a car guy) said "...nothing about that car speaks quality construction to me". However, it is tough to argue with an 8L V10.

geez, ive never seen the dash on a viper. I loved the styling of the first version, the second they toned it down a bit.

I do not like that dash and instrument cluster. To me it looks like they cut those dials out of a whirlpool dryer and put them behind black plastic.

I have driven one of these and its true about them that it does recoil and snap like a viper - I also experienced the rear end coming loose at something above 70 mph (scary)...
