ALWAYS remove your truck lettering & logo when you sell/trade!

Texas Plumber’s Ford Truck Ends up with Terrorists

Quote:
When Texas plumber Mark Oberholtzer traded in his black Ford F-250 pickup truck, he expected it would live a second life in the hands of new owners, but probably not these owners.

What is that mounted at the back? A ditch digger or Roto Rooter?

With that pointed at you your plumbing may automatically start to work.

Actually the American government might be interested in the process of how the truck landed up there. Procurers of supplies in America for ISIS?

If so the idiot did not realize the potential consequences of leaving the lettering on. I ran across a supplier of vehicles to the middle east in Maryland many years ago.

Not the brightest individual but he was making money.

It's a real shame about this. Whether it's true or not, this guy will probably end up having to close his business or at a minimum, move and change the name and phone number.

In 2001, I had a car stolen, then get found by the police a few months later. When we went to the police pound to collect it, they couldn't find it. I checked the VIN on Carfax a few months later and it said that it was exported to Saudi Arabia. Someone at the police dept was probably on the take.

Point being, the vehicle may not have been legally sold.

They say some of those terrorist organizations have a lot of money to throw around. All it takes is a straw purchaser to make the buy and they are off and running......

That said, SOMEBODY has knowledge of the specific boat that truck was loaded on then shipped to the middle east. They certainly didn't drive the truck to Syria. Grease a few palms and like magic they've got themselves a new TRUCK!!!

There are so many chop shops doing that kind of thing. They had a television documentary on it awhile back that showed how its done. These guys were boosting cars (it was astounding the speed with which they were able to break in and get the car started and running....within SECONDS) and then took them straight to the chop shop. They also knew how to deal with VIN number issues. Within 24 hours, the car parts were on boats headed to other countries.....amazing....

And we wonder why automobile insurance rates are SKY HIGH.

Im thinking the opposite, i think this will boom his business.

Only the true wackos are going to automatically believe this guy mailed his truck to ISIS with a bow on it and told them to kill some infidels. because thats just absurd. These are the same idiots who mail death threats and make threatening calls. Probably not people who will be using his plumbing service anyway.

Most people id imagine would be fascinated at how a used lettered contractors truck in Texas wound up in the middle east, i certainly am.
If anything its just going to boost his name recognition.

Perhaps hollywood can create a story line and a movie about it?

It doesn't seem uncommon to ship vehicles overseas. A traveling salesman I know had has last Camry bought by someone to ship to Africa.

A guess a two model year old Camry with 140k on it has more value over their.

Maybe they sold the truck to a dealership that was going to remove the lettering but they skimped on it before it went to auction?

Oh, I dunno, I always heard all publicity was good publicity.

.....run an ad with the picture, saying, We'll do whatever it takes to unplug your drain!

Wouldn't surprise me if that was the case. Never count on the incompetence of others!
