Huh? Not that it's a bad thing because I am really not too keen on the idea of the rest of the world think we are all like you but I would not be surprised if the odds of getting killed in the US were higher (auto, homicide, bad health) in the US than many places abroad.

More on topic, I agree that their age had little or nothing to do with their murder.

Satarizing can be a good thing. In no way do I justify what the attackers did but I do question the methods of Charlie Hebdo. This one here strikes me as something less than satire - translation - 'the Koran is $h!t, cannot stop bullets':

The general idea I got from something in the past that I read is that the whole Muslims in the Middle East are dissastified by their existance (they are no better off as a colony run by their own Governments) and not unlike Mussolinie harked back to Acient Rome when Italy was great the Muslims are trying to hark back to I think it was called the 3 right Caliphates.

Along with the above the Nations like Saudi Arabia have a lot of Money that they are using to try to get the Western influance out of the Middle East.
