And now, for something entirely different...

No affiliation, other than the fact that Darling Wife and I saw this car in 2006 - built by the guy who sold us Gustav. He had a lot full of Princesses and Citroens in various states of "projecting." Great guy, sad to hear of his passing. The four seater Miata is now being put up for sale by his nephew.

My complete lack of one of those new-fangled "garage" contraptions means this forever topless Miata would be a swimming pool/skating rink half the year. It deserves better.

Yipes!

This is what happens when friends don't tell friends when an idea is bad.

Half of the year a swimming pool the other half a skating rink. For 3.5K sounds like a good investment. It would be above ground so that should not have any impact on any property tax assessments.

Ahh - gotcha.

You may have noted (also in the original post) that we were there in 2006.... no clue what (if anything) is left of his stash of Citroens.

$3,500 seems kind of steep for a 22 YO fixer-upper, even a one-of-a-kind fixer-upper. I can appreciate the idea and the effort that went into it (after all, two totaled cars aren't doing much good otherwise), but it kind of ruins the concept of the Miata, doesn't it?
