Miata Fans, The 2016 MX-5
I seem to recall there's a few on this forum . . .
2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata First Drive – Review – Car and Driver Since the Miata’s arrival 26 years ago, sports cars have slowly grown into giants. Bigger cars may have bigger engines, they may carry passengers more comfortably, and they might sell better in China (and everywhere else for that matter), but it’s gratifying to know that the Miata continues to stay true to the original, which itself stayed true to the Lotus Elan. It’s still a small sports car. It’s still big fun. It’s still a toy. Best of all, it still makes us happy |

In other news the resale value of every FRS/BRZ just took a nosedive. I saw one at the LA autoshow a couple of months back. Pics don't do it justice, its a very good looking design and much smaller than the 3rd gen.

Love it! And love that it doesn't try to please the knuckle-dragging types by having 250+ hp. |

I haven't had any real interest in new car releases/reviews since the CLK55 came to be in 2001..... until this car.
It sounds pretty danged interesting..... there is a non-zero chance one of these will become Miata number 8 for me (a few years down the road after land/farm is acquired).

They're all about the same size. The new one will have a bigger motor, and bigger wheels and tires but its a lot built of aluminum so it will still be about the same weight as the first and second gen cars.

Mazda is manufacturing a badge-engineered version of the Miata for Fiat. Can anyone phonetically post the Japanese equivalent of "Fix-It-Again-Tanaka"?
