Big TV...

FYI the LG's biggest baddest curved 105" bad boy is around $120k on Amazon.

Amazon.com: Samsung UN105S9 Curved 105-Inch 4K Ultra HD 120Hz 3D Smart LED TV: Electronics

Free two day shipping though...

105" is almost 9 feet. At that point, would it be better to throw in the towel and buy a projector?

Last year we upgraded to 75" 4K panel. The price jump to 80+ was too steep.

I have a viewing room in my house with a ten foot screen. It is a projector system and really not that expensive. I put the entire thing together for about $1000. It is far from state of the art but it works for us.

You don't need to spend a lot of cash. Pick up used stuff off of Ebay and cobble a system together. It all looks and sounds great and when you start getting into the very, very high end stuff it is just like high end cars... Eventually you reach a point of diminishing returns.

No I just have a 55.

When I do build a house if I have room I'll build a theater in the basement. I'll probably just use a projector and can probably build a kick ass one chairs and all for less than 10% of what that TV would cost.

Big tvs certainly have come down in price...but I'm sad there are no more plasmas anymore. Can't stand those blueish-grey blacks on LCDs. I miss CRTs sometimes too. Where black = black. OLED monitors and TVs can't come soon enough!
