W126 driver tool kit
I sold my 500SE and kept the tool kit. Pretty neat, tool roll with OK wrenches and such with Mercedes Benz cast into them. Think I'll sell it, anybody have an idea of its value?

Too see what they might be selling for do an eBay search "Used Mercedes Tools" and you will see people selling the complete Tool Rolls and just single wrenches.

Generally the tool roll will only have value to someone that wants to either replace a missing one to maintain authenticity; or is willing to buy a pristine example for a concours car/car show vehicle. In average condition, you might get $20-40.

Got any pics? My 126 has no organic tools, so to speak. If I see the set and you tell me by PM what you want, a deal is possible.

Would have been nice to pass it on to the next owner...

My thought would be to contact the previous owner and say that you kept it for nostalgia, but realized that it would be best for him to get it so that it stays with the car. Having the original toolkit with a car is kinda special.

I found the tool kit neat for about 10 seconds and then I realized what junk it was.

I've got a bunch of them and the pliers are some of the best I've seen. I've had one pair on the boat for over 10 years and they are the only tool which I use around salt water that doesn't rust. The wrenches are just fine for what the average owner needs. The screwdrivers last forever. The first aid kit? I'm sure when it was new the tape was sticky.
