No, just writing a check. Its an interesting spec. It has an all aluminum frame designed by Herb Adams, a winters live rear axle, a six speed tremec transmission, an aluminum 350 chevy bored and stroked to 427 CI, and four large two barrell weber carbs. It is minimalist witn no carpet, no top and no tonneau cover. Aesthetically it looks just right to me with Tangerine paint and a carbon fiber dash.

No computers or such. About as compicated as a riding lawn mower.

Its eight or ten years old and condition wise is a #3 which in my mind is perfect, good enough to be proud to have in the driveway but not so good that a chip will upset. There are a few rusty bolt heads and screw heads here and there if you look closely and the mirror has light pitting on it. I am getting it for a fraction of the original build cost.

Best I can tell is it is in the low 2000# range. Possibly below 2000. Yikes! If so that means it has a lower weight per horsepower than my Lotus.

Those sidepipes have a lifetime warranty against not being able to burn the whee out of your legs when exiting the vehicle. Be careful!

Guards for those are on the top of my list. ...and a roll bar ....and a tonneau cover so I can tow it on an open trailer...and some air filters.

You may want to verify the age of the tires as well, as old rubber loses a lot of its stiction.

I have been communicating with a multiple national champion in other classes about the purchase of the Lotus. I am anticipating a deposit today through paypal. He's planning to come to our test and tune at Grissom April 7 and 8 to drive it.

Wooo HOoooo!

Everything went as well as can be expected. I made the first run, spinning out in the very cold weather twice. (blush).

Then Bob made five runs and proclaimed that he did not need to run in the afternoon, he was satisfied that he wants the car. He expects to come pick it up in two weeks.

He owns a BMW specialist repair shop in Colorado.
