Sale on Mobil 1
 

FWIW, O'Reilly's auto parts has a sale on Mobil 1 full synthetic for $5.99 a quart. Lasts until April 28. The next higher grade, I forget what it's called, is going for $6.99.

Couldn't tell you if that's nationwide, it's going on here in the great state of California. I was happy to see they have 15W 50. I bought a bunch of 0W 40 on sale a while back and I want to mix it maybe 1 to 3 with heavier stuff until it's gone.

This sale is for oil only, it's not an oil and filter combo.

Interesting. I'll have to check it out. So far my auto parts stores are more expensive than Wal*Mart. Over here it is 9.19 a quart on the online page so it might be that it is slightly cheaper in store but I doubt it.

The Walmart 5 qt. jug may be at a comparable price. Around here, you can't get all the different weights in the jug size.

And I was off on the slightly higher grade, the 'extended mileage' variety. It's $6.49 a qt. Dropped in last night to buy 6 more. It's not that huge of a savings - if you buy 10, you're paying $60 instead of $92 but I hate buying one or two at $9 plus when I could have got them at $6.

I discovered recently that you can see the current O'Reilly's ad online. The newspaper insert sort of ad. Might need to watch that - like I said, not sure how widespread this particular sale is.

The ad for my zip is showing $5.99 qt for 4 or more qts.
