smartphone OBD-II app recommendation?

Can anyone recommend or unrecommend a smartphone OBD-II app, preferable for iPhone? How about a compatible Bluetooth OBD-II inteface? This is for diagnostics. I don't see a need for real time dyno or additional gauges features.

Torque - not sure if for iOS, but my Android and I love it. Torque lite is free and just as good for occassional fault code reading.

(in before spd blasts you for having an iphone

iPhone is not Bluetooth compatible with most (all?) obd2 devices. This is the curse and blessing of apple...having to have specifically signed BT versions and whatnot. Anyways you can get a wifi dongle just as easy, which does connect to iPhone just like any other wifi network. I use the dash command app, pretty happy with it. Gives full readout of all obd2 parameters, gauges, code readings and clears codes as well. I think the dongle I got was $20 off amazon (a no name) and the app was $9.

To confirm, the iPhone will see the OBD-II wifi interface device as a router? No need to be near wifi service?

The obd2 module itself creates its own wifi network, so you don't need to be near an existing router or network. You connect to the unit as if it were your home router and wifi network. I found the process very easy.
