About 1/4 of the cost of the car.

I agree with you on both of those. Such a good deal, but could easily spend half of the cost in 1 year keeping it going.

Not saying it will happen, but it very well could.

Yeah, works out to something like $52 a day in depreciation. Or $2 an hour. Or $ 0.03 a minute.

Oh man I have always wanted to drive a 65 and I always felt that the CL version I found to be the best of the lot!

I can't say that i'm thrilled by that interior though....

That's because those are still RWD and can't hook up.

AMG is going AWD, in 2014 and beyond...

0-60 about the same as my Ninja 650. Didn't Justin just buy one of those?

I like that CL65, but if I had the choice of that or a GT3, I'd take the GT3.

Side note: On the way to work the other day, I passed a pair of black SL 65 AMG's.

Back in the early 80's Audi put all wheel drive into an Audi GT. According to an article in Road and Track they did it not to get better traction on poor roads but to better put 300 hp down on the track.

They found that 300 hp would tear up the front wheel drive systems they had at the time, so if they wanted to put it all to use all wheel drive was the best method.

Computerized suspension and power trains have smoothed over the early is adventures with both FWD and AWD. I wonder how far they can take it.

Pretty far the new 911 does 0-60 in what 2.5? Even my grandmother could crack off that time to!
