Surprise: 2015 J.D. Power Study Says Japanese Cars Now Lag Industry On Quality - Forbes

For the first time in nearly three decades, Japanese brand vehicles fell below industry average on initial quality, according to a consumer survey by J.D. Power & Associates.


The surprising result is less a measure of faltering by the Japanese and more a reflection of how must faster other brands are improving. The Japanese brands improved marginally, but failed to keep up with the rest of the industry.

Cows fly as well. The Asian brand stuff may not be as good as it once was. Still it is on average much better than a lot of the big three I can think of. I have wondered who pays JD Powers anyways?

I have seen many car rating firms give rave reviews for cars that turn out to be junk. I have always figured it is just a fraudulent game and the buying public forgets too fast to damage them.

I wonder if I had a car firm just how much it costs me to get a good rating?
